Moulvibazar launches tourist bus

Tourist bus facilities have been introduced to increase the tourist attraction of Moulvibazar. Sylhet Divisional Commissioner MdKhalilur Rahman on Thursday inaugurated two tourist bus services at the initiative of the district administration to take advantage of the tourism potential of the district.

 These services were inaugurated on Thursday noon at the Deputy Commissioner's office premises. The inaugural function was presided over by Moulvibazar Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan. District Council Chairman Misbahur Rahman, Municipal Mayor Fazlur Rahman, Upazila Chairman Kamal Hossain, district administration officials and representatives of various professions also attended the programme.

 At the initiative of Moulvibazar district administration, tourist bus service was launched for the first time for the convenience of tourists and residents of the district and to highlight the sights of the district. Tourists and locals visiting the district will have the opportunity to visit various tourist centers at low cost. Tourists will be able to travel in tourist buses from Saturday, October 18. The bus will start its journey from two points of the district at 9 am every day. The first package offers a bus journey from Srimangal and take tourists to Chabagan, Gagantila, Lake, Madhabkunda Falls and HakalukiHaor. The second package offers journey from Baralekha and go to LauyachharaEcopark, Madhabpur Lake, Wildlife Service Foundation and Bird Sanctuary Baikkabil. The first package is Tk 300 per person (excluding lunch) and Tk 400 including lunch. The second package is Tk 350 per person (excluding lunch) and Tk 450 including lunch. Tourists will be dropped off at the start of the journey in the evening. Tourists will not have to pay for the bus. There will be two mobile numbers for advance ticket booking. People from different walks of life in the district have welcomed such a tourist-friendly initiative.

Nusrat Laila Nira, Assistant Commissioner of District Administration is coordinating the overall issue of launching tourist buses. She said tourists cannot visit Moulvibazar at ease. Locals, like tourists, cannot afford to visit all the natural beauties of the district due to financial constraints with their families. This service has been introduced for everyone at low cost. Tourist bus has created a golden opportunity to travel with friends, relatives and neighbors. Tickets need to be collected from the designated counter, tickets are also available on the phone.

Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan said at the inaugural function that the district's waterfalls, tea gardens, hills, hills, lakes, Lauyachhara National Park, HakalukiHaor, Wildlife Service Foundation, Baikka Bill and many other places of interest are not well-known. Now the district administration has introduced tourist buses in Moulvibazar to arrange safe travel to these tourist centers in less time and at lower cost.

Divisional Commissioner of Sylhet Division Md. Khalilur Rahman said, “Thousands of tourists visit Sylhet Division including Moulvibazar every day. 

Moulvibazar is the first district-level tourist bus in Bangladesh. Undoubtedly this is a commendable initiative. 

Travelers can tour the entire district at low cost. He hoped that this initiative would be further expanded with the cooperation of all and the development of tourism industry.
