Two tourists go missing in Nikli Haor, one found dead

The body of a tourist named Rony (22) has been recovered from Nikli's Haor in Kishoreganj. His body was recovered at around 11:15 am on Saturday in a haor at Ghorautra Nadirpar near Ghoradigha village in Singapore union of Nikli upazila. Rony is the son of Jasim of Koyalbazar village in Laksam upazila of Comilla district. He was a pickup driver.

The rescue operation is continuing in search of another missing tourist Md Alamgir (20). The missing Alamgir is the son of Md Saidur of Bhabanipur village in Sadar upazila of Gaibandha district.

He is also a pickup driver by profession.  According to local sources, they went missing on Friday afternoon while bathing on the bank of Ghorautra river near Ghoradigha village in Singapore union of Nikli upazila.

Nikli Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Shamsul Alam Siddiqui confirmed the matter and said that two tourist teams came to Nikli from Dhaka. Later, they went down to bathe by the river. 

At that time, two tourists named Alamgir and Rony went missing after drowning. Upon receiving the news, the police rushed to the spot and conducted a rescue operation. Rony body has already been recovered. Rescue operations are underway to find another missing tourist.
