On Friday, September 24 an International environment conscious beauty pageant titled 'Miss Earth Bangladesh-2021' has been held at a five-star hotel in the capital. This beauty pageant is considered as an important and effective way to promote environmental awareness.
Shakila Anjum Tanha has been declared as the 'Miss Air Bangladesh' in the gala round of this year's competition.
Regarding the context expressing her feelings on winning the title of 'Miss Air Bangladesh', Tanha told Daily Bangladesh Post that the goal behind coming to 'Miss Earth Bangladesh' was to work on 'Mother Earth'. I have come so far today because of my confidence. Also my biggest support is my mother who was always by my side. I wish for everyone’s blessing so that I can do better in the future.’

Shakila Anjum Tanha is a second year student of Communication Disability Department of Dhaka University. In addition to modeling, she is involved in various social activities. The main goal of the ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh’ competition is to make women self-reliant and create new types of women entrepreneurs.
It is to be mentioned that Umme Zamilatun Naima has won the crown of 'Miss Earth Bangladesh 2021' in this year's event. Besides, Pial Sarkar and Fahmida Barsha were awarded ‘Miss Fire’ and ‘Miss Water Bangladesh’ respectively. Farzahan Pia and Arusha Abida have been selected as ‘Miss Beautiful Face’ and ‘Miss Social Media Influencer’ respectively.
