Naima wins ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh 2021’ title

An International environment conscious beauty pageant titled 'Miss Earth Bangladesh-2021' has been held at a five-star hotel in the capital on Friday, September 24. Umme Zamilatun Naima was declared as the winner of ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh-2021’.

This beauty pageant is considered as an important and effective way to promote environmental awareness, because many people admire and aspire to be a beauty queen. Since last year ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh’ competition is being organised.

Along with Naima, Sakila Tanha, Pial Sarkar and Fahmida Barsha were awarded as ‘Miss Air’, ‘Miss Fire’ and ‘Miss Water Bangladesh’ respectively at the event jointly organised by Triple Nine Global and Rotary District 3281. Farzahan Pia and Arusha Abida have also been selected as ‘Miss Beautiful Face’ and’ Miss Social Media Influencer’ respectively.

The National Director of the event Nayla Bari, ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh 2020’ winner Meghna Alam and Rotary First Lady Rokeya Farooqi crowned the winners. According to the organizers, the representative of ‘Miss Earth Bangladesh’ was selected considering education, talent, environmental thinking and presentation style of the contestants.

In addition, the inventor of the golden Dr Mubarak Ahmad Khan, Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, spokesman for the environmental movement, Abdul Mukit Majumder, head of the Nature and Life Foundation, Rotary District 3281 Governor Motasim Billah Farooqi, environmental protection organiser Nayla Bari and environmentalist Dr SI Khan was awarded the Friends of Nature Award. The Minister of Information and Broadcasting Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in this event.
