Special food items distributed among Mongla port workers

Special food items have been distributed among the workers and employees working at Mongla port ahead of Eid. On Sunday at noon, port users distributed the materials among 2900 workers at the premises of Mongla Port Workers' Union. These food items are arranged with the levy (dividend) money deposited in the port.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, chairman of the port authority, handed over 17 kg packets of food items including rice, pulses, sugar, potatoes, oil, salt, semai and milk to the workers. 

Mongla Port Authority Director (Traffic) Md Mostafa Kamal, Assistant Traffic Manager Md Shamim Hawlader, Deputy Secretary (Board and Public Relations) Md Makruzzaman, Information Assistant Khandaker Monirul Islam, Port Users Syed Zahid Hossain, MA Baten, Md. Mohsin, Mostaq Ahmed Mithu, Kamruzzaman Jasim, Afsar Uddin Ratan, Mashur Rahman, Mahabubur Rahman Tutul, President of Mongla Port Workers Union Kalipad Gupta and General Secretary Omar Farooq Sentu were present among others.

Regarding the workers-employees, Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa said that the authorities are by the side of all the employees working in Mongla port in all humanitarian disasters. This event is organized in collaboration with the port users so that they can celebrate Eid well with their families ahead of the upcoming Eid. He also said that this trend will continue.
