Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s youngest son, Sheikh Russel’s 57th birth anniversary and Sheikh Russel Day 2021 were celebrated in Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali on the initiative of upazila administration.
On this occasion, a wreath-laying, cake-cutting, discussion and prayer mehfil were organized at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium at 9 am on Monday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tania Ferdous presided the meeting and the chief guest was District Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Upazila Chairman Khan Md Abubakar Siddiqui.
Special guest speakers were Upazila Awami League Senior Vice President Ismail Hossain Mridha, Upazila Vice-Chairman Zahirul Islam Jewel, Mirzaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Anwar Hossain Talukder, freedom fighter Abdul Aziz Mallick, Upazila Chhatra League General Secretary Md Rakib Mridha and others.
