December, the Month of Victory has begun on Friday. The grateful Bangali nation starts celebrating the glorious month with much festivity and enthusiasm amid a series of programmes throughout this December just 35 days ahead of the country’s Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election slated for January 7.
This year’s December has added a new dimension to the nation. We believe the spirit of the Great War of Liberation is very important for us right now as Bangladesh is going for general election.
On December 16 in 1971, Bangladesh was born as an independent country under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the cost of supreme sacrifice of three million people and the honour of nearly half a million women. Our country was liberated from the Pakistani occupation forces in this month 52 years back.
As the Month of Victory has begun ahead of the next poll, people of Bangladesh will be getting awakened with the spirit and ideal of the Liberation War. All pro-liberation forces have to remain alert against the anti-independence quarters so that they cannot come to power in any way.
All will have to make a fresh vow to resist anti-liberation forces of 1971. We believe our new generation will do everything to continue the country’s hard-earned beauty of democracy in this regard.
The country starts turning jubilant in December as common people especially pro-liberation forces are celebrating the month through colourful programmes amid huge enthusiasm and festivity. But the country’s path was not easy as it was very thorny and the Bangalis were always exploited in many ways. The country has traversed a long and difficult path from new nationhood devastated by war, famine and conspiracies.
We would like to say that we are proud to be a nation of ‘role model’ of development before the world now. Bangladesh is doing well in most sectors and moving forward at an indomitable pace.
This year’s December has
added a new
dimension to the nation
Today, it is recognised globally. We are passing through an extraordinary time in the history amid plots and prolonged global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war. When much enthusiasm and excitement are running high among people centring the upcoming national election, BNP-Jamaat and some vested quarter have become desperate and engaged their ill efforts in destabilising the peaceful situation through conducting anarchy in the name of hartal and blockade.

It seems that they continued to ‘play with fire’ as part of their blue print to foil the next general election at any cost. Being rejected by the country’s people BNP-Jamaat may draw up more sabotage plan.
This is part of BNP-Jamaat’s plan of sabotage acts and mayhem across the country till January 7, 2024. However, we believe this month will make a renewed commitment to nation building and thwart the evil plot now being hatched to ruin the next.
Today, Bangladesh’s emergence as one of Asia’s most prosperous and resilient nations under the visionary leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now lauded by world leaders. Now, Bangladesh became developing nation and is heading towards a developed one.
It is very clear those who do not like this, they would not sit idle and they must attack. Therefore, we are noticing an organised evil force comprising extreme communal groups incited by BNP-Jamaat has now become out to grab the state power through clandestine alleyways. As part of the plot, some international forces which had acted against Bangladesh’s Liberation War have also been providing all-out support for the evil forces alongside extending all possible cooperation to make the country a dysfunctional and failed one through creating anarchy. Yet, the country has gone ahead successfully overcoming all barriers over the years and we believe our nation would be built as a hunger and poverty free country immediately.
So, all must take a fresh oath to get united against the evil forces those who want to foil our next national poll.
