Man gets life term in Narail drug case

A court in Narail on Sunday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment in a drug case in 2012. 

District and Session Judge Munshi M Moshier Rahman pronounced the verdict in presence of him in the court. 

The court also fined convict Mithu Biswas alias Mintu, 32, son of Abdur Samad Biswas resident of Arpara village in Jashore Sadar upazila, Taka 10,000, in default, to suffer one year more jail, said Public Prosecutor of Narail Judge Court Md. Emdadul Islam.

The prosecution story, in brief, is that police arrested Mithu and recovered 49 bottles of phensidyl on November 30, 2012 from a Narail-bound bus at Chasra Bus stand area.
