Journalists working in Jhenaidah have formed a human chain demanding protective laws for them.

The human chain was formed in front of Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner's office on Sunday morning.

Jhenaidah press club president M Raihan and General Secretary Mahmud Hasan Tipu among others spoke at the time.

The speakers said the journalists community have been assaulted and manhandled by a section of unscrupulous people including political personalities and corrupt business men for the lack of laws to protect them from the untoward attack.

They had demanded press home 14 point demand thrown by Bangladesh Mofassil Sangbadik Forum (BMSF).

The memorandum was handed over to Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Mojibur Rahman for the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
