'Chiranjeev Mujib'’s teaser released

The teaser of the full-length film titled  'Chiranjeev Mujib' based on 'Unfinished Autobiography' of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Monday Oct 18. The Information Minister inaugurated three teasers of the film at the Secretariat.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry Farooq Ahmed, director and dialogue writer of the film Nazrul Islam, creative director Jewel Mahmud and producer Liton Haider were present at the ceremony.

The Information Minister said the ‘Unfinished Autobiography’ of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been translated into different languages. Millions of people, including other speakers, have read the book. However, it was not made into a film. I thank Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, for this film.

He further added, if the film is dubbed and sent to other countries in other languages, the world will know about Bangabandhu's life and work struggle.

The director of the film Nazrul Islam said that on June 23, 2021, Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the film by signing 3 posters. The film is planned to be released in theaters across the country soon.

Dhallywood actor Ahmed Rubel has played the role of Bangabandhu in the film titled ‘Chiranjeev Mujib'. Actress Purnima played the role of Begum Fazilatun Nesha Renu and Khairul Alam Sabuj and Dilara Zaman played the roles of Bangabandhu's father and mother respectively. The film is dedicated to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana.
