In Sunamganj, the district administration brought out a colourful rally from Hasan Raja auditorium premises which paraded streets of the district town before converging for a meeting at the same spot, reports our Sunamganj Correspondent
Presided over by Chandan Dutta, District Cooperative Officer, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Mohammad Abdul Ahamad, Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj as the chief guest, Mijanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police as special guest, Emran Hossain, Deputy Director of LGRD, Sunamganj, Shariful Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Advocate Chan Mia, President of Sunamganj Lawers' Association, councillor Ahmed Nur, President of Sunamganj central cooperative association and Advocate Mahbubul Hasan Shahin, President of central Samabaya Bank in Sunamganj, Mijnaul Haque Sarker and Samian Tajul.
Speakers at the meeting mentioned, everyone should be united under cooperative societies to build a hunger-free, developed Bangladesh through increased production and creation of employment. Only cooperative can resolve the problems in agriculture, fisheries and unemployment. Anyone can become self-reliant by receiving training on cooperative or by starting a business by taking loan. Everyone should be united to build the Sonar Bangla as initiated by the Banga Bandhu, the speakers said.
In Thakurgaon, to mark the day, a colorful rally was brought out from the premises of District Collectorate and ended at the District Parishad Auditorium Hall on Saturday morning, report our Thakurgaon Correspondent.
Presidium member of Awami League and lawmaker of Thakurgaon-1 constituency Ramesh Chandra Sen inaugurated the event by free pigeon and balloon as the chief guest.
Later, a discussion meeting was held by Deputy Commissioner of Thakurgaon Dr KM Kamruzzaman Selim at the District Council Auditorium.
At that time, District Co-operative officer Abdur Rauf , Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Nirbahi officer Abdur Rauf, President of Thakurgaon Press Club Mansur Ali, President of Thakurgaon Central Bank and Jubo League president Abdul Majid Apel, Debashish Datta Shamir along with others were also present at that time.
In Pabna, Bera Upazila administration and Upazila Cooperative Office observed the day by holding various programmes, reports our Bera (Pabna) Correspondent.
A colorful rally was brought out from the premises of Upazila Parishad and ended at the same place after rounding the main roads of the town on Saturday morning.
Later, a discussion meeting was held on importance of Cooperative Day at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
Upazila Nirbahi officer Asif Anam Siddique presided over the meeting while Chairman of Bera Upazila Md Abdul Kader was present as the chief guest.
At that time, Cooperative officer Abdur Rashid Md Mansur Alom, Assistant Inspector Md Shafiul Islam, along with other staff and members of cooperative were also present.
In Kishoreganj, District Co-operative Department arranged the day programme at the District Multipurpose Community Center in Kishoreganj, reports our Kishoreganj Correspondent.
A colorful rally was brought out by different co-operative organizations from the District Multipurpose premises after rounded the different roads of the town and ended at the District Multipurpose Community Center.

A discussion meeting was held at the upazila parishad auditorium with district cooperative officer Syed Nurul Kuddus in the chair. Deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath attended the programme as chief guest.
