Fifty three more persons tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning, raising the total number of infection to 6,609 in Chapainawabganj district.
During the time, 194 samples were tested where 53 persons were detected positive for the lethal virus, showing the infection rate 27.31 percent, Civil Surgeon office sources confirmed.

A total of 518 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 14 are in dedicated Covid-19 Hospital and others at home. Meanwhile, 164 patients have died of Covid-19 and 5,930 patients with 38 new have recovered from the deadly virus so far here, the sources added.
