Three Awami League nominated candidates is likely to face a hard contest with others one or two candidates nominated from Jatiya Party and independent candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections in the constituencies in Narayanganj.
Among the five constituencies here two brother AKM Selim Osman and his younger brother AKM Shamim Osman, both are running lawmaker from Jatio Party and Awami League are comparatively in safe scenario in voting political field.
The three other Awami League nominees have to fight with a running lawmaker, their own party’s rebel candidate and Jatio Party weight voltage candidates.
In the constituency -1 (Rupganj) Awami League nomination achieved the running lawmaker cum minister Golam Dostogir Gazi Birprotik.But his existing rivals are Rupganj upazila unti Awami League general secretary also Rupganj upazila chairman Shajahan Buiyan, and trinomul BNP’s general secretary Advocate Taimur Alam Khondhokar. The both rival candidates of Gazi are owners of strong bases in popularity. A total of 3,85,618 voters will be franchised on the polling day. Allegation had already been found that some fellows vandalized some houses of Shajahan fellows.
A total of 3,33,267 votes belong to Narayanganj-2 (Araihazar) Nazrul Islam Babu MP nominated by Awami League. He has to fight against Jatio Party nominated candidate Alamgir Shikdar Loton who is central vice-president of his party.
Abdullah Al Kaisar Hasnat, former lawmaker of Awami League obtained the boat symbol and has to fight with running lawmaker Jatio Party’s joint secretary Liakot Hossain Khoka.Voters of 3,45,638 waiting for the final date of withdrawal and appeal of nomination papers cancellation.
Now, 9 existing candidates are in constituency-1( Rupganj) five for constituency-2 (Araihazar) and 11 are for constituency-3 (Sonargaon), if any reshuffle might not occur in the last time nomination papers are withdrawn.
