Gopalganj district Awami League member, former general secretary of Kotalipara Upazila Awami League and valiant freedom fighter SM Humayun Kabir died here today. He was 69.
He left behind a son, a daughter and host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Awami League general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter Humayun Kabir.
In a condolence message, the ruling party general secretary prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Gopalganj district Awami League member, former general secretary of Kotalipara upazila AL and valiant freedom fighter SM Humayun Kabir.
In a condolence message, the Premier prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, said a press release signed by AL office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a city hospital here. He was 69. He left behind wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
