ZTE keens to continue support Bangladesh in ICT development

ZTE Corporation, a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprises and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, is willing to continue their support for Bangladesh’s ICT sector with its latest innovative solutions.   

ZTE said in a press release issued today that the company is ready to bring advanced solutions for the ICT developments in Bangladesh as long as this sector required whatever the company have for the improvement. As of yet, ZTE has 15 global R&D centers all around the world to serve the upsurge in technological innovation and demand. The company invests more than 10 percent of annual revenue in R&D to keep core technical competence.    

Citing a very bright prospect of expanding further, ZTE’s operations in Bangladesh considering a big population size with high potentials for the growth of the ICT industry. This country has seen rapid growth in digitalization and in an effort to fulfill the aim to transform Bangladesh into a technologically advanced nation by 2021, the country has come a long way. In this journey, it is being considered an emerging country in the technology world. 

‘We have been working successfully in Bangladesh since 1998 and also in the future, we hope to work for the fast development of this country. We want to be a partner in building Digital Bangladesh for setting up a center of excellence for frontier technologies and look forward to working together for a technologically advanced Digital Bangladesh. ZTE wants to be an active part of the government’s ‘Vision 2021’.’ Said, Pang Wei, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), ZTE  Bangladesh. 

Earlier this year, ZTE has developed the country's first-ever tier 4 National Data Center at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City at Kaliakoir in Gazipur. ZTE also has designed, procured and constructed 7.4MW Grid Connected Solar Power Plant in Rangamati. Currently, ZTE is implementing another important projects for the government which is lane down the fiber optic cable across the country.  

This next generation of wireless technology is expected to change the way of everyday life. 5G will play a vital role in automatic driving, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Big data, Internet of Things, Smart City and network. Hence, advanced technological infrastructure is a must for any country to provide modern facilities to its citizen. This Chinese multinational also played a big role in deploying 3G and 4G network in Bangladesh and also has the full capabilities of providing the latest technology in deploying 5G related infrastructure. 

Now in Bangladesh ZTE has 70% locals and 30% chinise employees where locals get trained by the chinises for upgrating the technological knowledge for the advancement. Even from the Head Quarter Chininse people come to train the locals frequently. The company has the faith to win more projects and make more contributions in Bangladesh. ZTE has been focusing on key technologies to sustain technological leadership. It has ranked global No.1 in PCT international patent application for three times, and also ranked among PwC’s ‘Top 70 Global Innovators’ as well as ‘Global ICT 50’.
