As Zimbabwe picked up ten points in the World Cup Super League, by beating Pakistan after a Super Over contest in the third ODI, centurion Sean Williams acknowledged his team can regularly beat bigger sides. Pakistan won the series 2-1 but dropped points in a thrilling final game at Rawalpindi, Zimbabwe's fifth win over Pakistan in 63 attempts, Cricbuzz reports.

Williamson scored an unbeaten 118 to push the score to 279 but Babar Azam’s 12th ODI ton took Pakistan close. Needing 13 in the final over, Muhammad Musa struck two boundaries to tie the contest. Blessing Muzarabani, who had picked a five-wicket haul in the contest, restricted Pakistan to just two in the Super Over and paved the way for the win.

“I think we can absolutely beat the bigger teams,” Williams said after the win. “We’re tired of competing and getting beaten. That’s no longer acceptable. It’s been way too long and the whole mental approach towards our game has completely changed.

“Some of the young players in the changing room, like Wesley Madhevere, are remarkably good players. This experience allows those younger guys to play and beat the bigger teams. Blessing has got a long career ahead of him, so there's a lot more to come from us.”

With the ODI series done, the two teams will now play a three-match T20I series from November 7 at the same venue in Rawalpindi.
