The Zimbabwe is all set to arrive in Bangladesh on February 15 to play a bilateral series, comprising one-off Test, three ODIs and two T20 Internationals, reports BSS.

The series will start with one-off Test, slated to be held from February 22-26 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Beforehand, after practicing for two days, they would play a two-day practice match against BCB XI for which the venue is yet to be decided.

After the Test match, the two teams will lock horns for three ODIs–all of which are day-night affairs–will be hosted by the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

The three ODIs are on March 1, 3 and 6. The teams will return to Dhaka then to play two T20 Internationals, scheduled to be held on March 9 and 11 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Zimbabwe will depart Bangladesh on March 12.

Zimbabwe was earlier scheduled to come here on March to play lone Test and five T20 Internationals but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) later convinced them to bring forward the series in February.

The BCB will host two T20 Internationals between Asia XI and World XI in March 18 and 20 to mark the birth centenary of

the Father of the National Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Later, the BCB planned to include three ODIs, reducing the number of T20 matches to two from five to which Zimbabwe also complied.

BCB’s decision to include ODI matches is seen to give Mashrafe Bin Mortaza a fitting farewell in front of the home crowd though the player had already said he has no intention to retire from the cricket right at this moment.
