ZH Sikder Medical College & Hospital observes World Heart Day

Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital, country’s one of the best private medical college & hospitals, on Thursday observed the World Heart Day-22 through various daylong programmes at Gulshan in the capital.

On the occasion Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital organised a daylong free medical camp at the Gulshan branch of the hospital. Starting from 9:00am, the free medical camp continued till 5:00pm.

Apart from free consultation, medical checkups and treatment, the medical college and hospital authorities also provided a special package for various important test facilities at the cost of only Tk 500.

Led by Associate professor Dr Aman Ullah Bin-Siddique of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital, a number of specialist doctors of the hospital took part in the medical camp. 

Authorities concerned said that over 250 people received treatment and consultancy facilities from the medical camp.

Meanwhile, to mark the World Heart Day-22 a seminar titled ‘Use Heart for Every Heart’ was also organised by Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital in collaboration with Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Held at the ‘Executive Lounge’ of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital on Thursday afternoon, two separate keynote papers were presented at the seminar. One of the keynote papers was presented by Dr Sadia of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital and other was presented by Dr Sohag of Incepta Pharmaceuticals.

Presided over by Dr Subrata Kumer Saha of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital, the function was coordinated by Dr Aman Ullah Bin-Siddique. 

Dr Mahiuddin Mahi, a senior consultant of the Medicine Department  and Dr Imam Uddin, a child specialist of Zainul Haque Sikder Women's Medical College & Hospital, and a number of doctors and high officials also took part in the seminar.

The specialist participants in their speeches discussed about how anybody could be able to understand easily when he or she would be affected by heart attack. 

They also discussed about what should be done immediate after anybody falls sick due to hear attack and what could be the problems if anyone fails to get treatment on time.
