Gemcon Khulna wicket-keeper batsman Zakir Hasan has stiffness on his neck, which forced the team management to keep him under 24 hours observation, reports BSS.
After a day, the team physician will determine the next course of the action regarding the young gloveman, said a press release of Khulna.
Zakir Hasan was taken off the field during Gazi Group Chattogram innings in the first Qualifier on Monday due to concussion injury. Zakir had a collision with Chattogram batsman Mahmudul Hasan. Anamul Haque Bijoy later came as the concussion replacement for him.
“Venue doctor and I had assessed Zakir and found all vital signs to be normal. Zakir had a little headache and was treated with medicine,” Khulna physio Muzadded Sany was quoted in the media release.
“After coming back to the hotel following the game, he was assessed again. Zakir still has stiffness on neck. He is currently under 24 hours observation,” the release added.
