With the objectives to motivate Muslims to pay their zakat amount in a planned way and popularizing Zakat as a poverty reduction tool, the 7th Zakat Fair 2019 scheduled to be held in Dhaka on Saturday.
Center for Zakat Management (CZM) is organizing the fair with the theme of ‘Making a difference with Zakat’.
Planning Minister M A Mannan, will inaugurate the fair Saturday morning at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh, Khamarbari, Farmgate, in city.
CZM announced the daylong program of the fair in a press conference, held on Thursday at the DRU, Segunbagicha.
Addressing the press conference, the Member Secretary of the Zakat Fair Organizing Committee A M M Nasir Uddin said sideline the fair a seminar titled “Role of Zakat and Tax in Reducing Income Inequalities”, a roundtable Conference on “Importance of Ethics in Economy: The Zakat Issue” and a special Q&A session for women will be organized at the fair.
He said a Consultation Desk will be set up at the fair for any query from the visitors relating to rules and regulations of Zakat and helping individuals or business organizations for calculating Zakat properly.
Leading businessmen around Dhaka, CEOs & managers of prominent business companies and their friends & family members would likely to visit the Fair.
The event is sponsored by Rahimafrooz, Exim Bank, Mirpur Ceramics, Kohinoor Chemical, Rahim Steel, Le Meridian, Best Holdings Limited and several other companies of the country. There will be several stalls of different organizations in the fair.
Chairman, Center for Zakat Management and Group director, Rahimafrooz Group Niaz Rahim, Head of Operation of CZM Md. Jasim Uddin were also present in the briefing.
The Zakat Fair will be open for all day from 09.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Prominent personalities like Justice Abdur Rouf, Lt. Gen (Retd) M. Nooruddin Khan, Dr. A B Mirza Azizul Islam, Prof. Dr. Shomser Ali, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, A K M Nurul Fazal Bulbul will attend in different sessions of the day long fair.
