State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Faruque paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday.
Later, he offered Fateha and special prayerthere seeking eternal peace and salvation forthe departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and family members.
Director General of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) Md Mahfujur Rahman, General Secretary of Gopalganj district Awami League Mahbub Ali Khan, Executive Engineer of BWDB in Gopalganj Biswajeet Boidya, Tungipara BWDB Deputy Engineer Mohammad Sadiul Alom Choyon, Assistant Deputy Engineers Mohammad Nasir and Md Sohrab Hossain, and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Tungipara Md Nakib Hossain Tarafder were also present at the time, among others.
