A youngster has attempted to commit suicide by jumping down from the second floor of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning. The person was identified as Hillol (24) son of Hafizur of Sheikhpara area of the city. Earlier, on Saturday (February-5) afternoon, he attempted to commit suicide by consuming toxic liquid Harpic.
Hospital sources informed, as a sequel of the family feud, Hillol consumed Harpic at his room on Saturday afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital and was admitted to ward-17 of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He was undergoing treatment there. Around 8-15 am On Sunday, Hillol again locked into an altercation with his father at the hospital. At a stage of an altercation with his father, Hillol jumped out from the second floor ( Third storey) of ward-17 and was critically injured by falling on the concrete ground. He was then rescued from the spot and was admitted to ward-8 of the hospital. Doctors at RMCH informed ribs of his chest have been fractured.
