A young man was hacked to death by some criminals in the west Deobhog area under Fatulla police station on Saturday night in the district.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan,23, son of Shafikul Isalm alias Shokhon, worked in a hosiery factory and was a resident of west deobhog area.
Police and locals claimed that the criminal gang killed Mehedi and stabbed his chest and backside in an earlier planned way.
Sources claimed that some criminals called Mehedi and took him to a drug den zone and then stabbed him with sharp weapons.
After rescuing Mehedi the locals rushed him to Narayanganj General Hospital where an on duty physician declared him dead.
Mehedi’s father claimed that he examined the scene of some close circuit TV camera and found eight young men took him to the drug spot.
It is mentioned that the half kilometers area of west deobhog turned into a drug den and drug peddling controlled by a man who is accused of two dozen criminal cases. So, in last two years three murders committed in this area openly.
Sharif was murdered on April 01,2020, Emon was murdered on July 17,2021 and Mehedi was killed on July 30, 2022. All accused are drug peddler and associates of those murder cases.
