The police have recovered the body of an unidentified young man at the Daryanagar point of Cox's Bazar beach on Wednesday morning.
The police said that the age of the young man is approximately 23 to 24.
Confirming the matter, Cox's Bazar Tourist Police OC Gazi Mizanur Rahman said that locals informed the police after seeing the body of a person on the beach at Dariyanagar point of Ramu upazila part of the beach.
Police reached the spot and recovered the body.
"There is no sign of injury on the body of the young man. He was wearing jeans pant and a black t-shirt.
His identity could not be identified, but it is believed to be the body of a tourist by the way he was dressed. "
The police are trying to unravel the mystery of whether it was an accident or a murder, said the OC of the Tourist Police. Gazi Mizanur Rahman said that the body of the deceased has been sent to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
