An unidentified youth died after falling under a train at Bagatipara in Natore on Monday afternoon.
The incident took place at Maria Railgate area on the east side of Lokmanpur railway station in the upazila. The police suspect that the young man may have committed suicide.
Locals said the young man had been at the scene for a long time. Later, while the Mango Special train was leaving, the young man put his head under the train. The head of the young man severed from the body being cut under the train wheels.
Ishwardi GRP police SI Zakir Hossain said, "After inspecting the spot and seeing the body, we think the man may have committed suicide. However, we do not have any definite information in this regard. No one from the area or the station could identify the dead man”.
