Johnny Molya, a young man from Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur, went to Libya to return his fortune and fell into the clutches of human traffickers. The parents are being shown the scenes of beating and torturing him daily on video calls demanding ransom. Despite sending the ransom money to save the son, now the level of torture has increased along with demanding more money.

According to the source of the victim's family, Johnny crossed to Libya 8 months ago. However, for the last 21 days, this young man has been under the grip of a human trafficking gang. Besides sending the video of Johnny's tying and beating to the family, the gang demanded Tk 3 lakh as ransom. The victim's family alleged that more money was being demanded after the money was transferred to an account sent by them. Otherwise, Johnny is threatened to be killed.

The victim's family finally filed a case with the police to save their son. On receiving the complaint, the police arrested Mahabubur Rahman Bhuiyan Rajeev, a member of this gang from Feni, to whose account Johnny's father had sent the ransom money. This Rajeev is one of the masterminds of the human trafficking ring. Police found unusual transactions in his account. Meanwhile, Rajeev has been remanded for 3 days.

Meanwhile, the abductors have increased the level of torture on Johnny due to filing a case. Now they demand that the case should be withdrawn or 60 lakhs should be paid to save Johnny. At the same time, they are threatening to file a false case against Johnny's father.

Suman Kar, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police of Madhukhali Circle, said that a case was registered on July 29. The account to which the money was transferred was immediately arrested. CID and National Crime Bureau (NCB) have also been sought for assistance. The police also said that everyone involved in this incident is being brought to justice and all efforts are being made to rescue Johnny.
