A 19-year-old youth, Md. Parvez Mosharaf, died in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Marine Drive in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The accident occurred around 11:30 AM on Sunday in the Mathabhanga area of Baharchhara Union.
Parvez, son of Abul Foyez from Magnama Union in Pekua Upazila, was reportedly riding towards Teknaf when a CNG from the opposite direction collided with his motorcycle. Eyewitness Saddam Hossain said the impact was severe, leaving Parvez critically injured.
Locals rushed to his aid and attempted to take him to a hospital, but he died on the way. Another person involved in the crash was seriously injured.
Police arrived shortly after the incident and restored normal traffic flow.
