A motorbike rider was killed as a truck ran over him on Bogura-Natore highway in Jomadarpur are in Bogura on Sunday morning.
THe deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain, resident of Sonakania village in Shahjahanpur area.
Kundarhat Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector Abul Hasnat confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Post.
Eye-witness Monir Hossain said, “Sabbir was riding his motorbike at around 08:00 am this morning and heading towards Nondigram. A good-laden truck hits his motorbike from behind at Jomadarpur area on the highway, leaving Sabbir dead at the spot.
Locals seized the truck and the body was transferred to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue.
Legal actions will be taken in this regard, SI Abul Hasnat said.
