A youth was detained with one kg of cannabis during the operation of RAB in Satkhira. The youth was detained from Bhabanipur area of Satkhira Sadar Upazila around 9pm on Saturday.
The detainee was identified as Md. Jewel Islam Sardar (23), son of Md. Abdul Gafur Sardar of Keragachhi village in Kalaroa.
The company commander of RAB Satkhira camp said that on the basis of secret information, the operation was carried out in front of Messrs Nibraj Bricks in Bhabanipur under the leadership of senior ASP Md. Bazlur Rashid of RAB Satkhira camp.
At that time, Jewel was detained with cannabis in his hand. A case has been filed in this regard at Satkhira Sadar Police Station.
