Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-12 in a drive arrested a young man along with a pistol from Dashuria union under Ishwardi upazila in Pabna on Monday.
The arrestee is identified as Shajibul Islam, 25, son of Md Shahidul Islam hailed from Munsikpur village of the Dashuria union.
On information, a team of Rab-12 conducted the drive in the village and arrested Shajibul Islam with a pistol, while he was dealing with illegal local arms with Bipul Mollah, said company commander of Pabna camp. Bipul Mollah, son of Firoz Mollah, hailed from Chandpur village under Muladoli union.
A case was filed in this connection Ishwatdi Police Station, he added.
