A youth hailed from Satkhira was found dead on the rail tracks in the capital's Uttara Monday night, two days after he reportedly went missing.

Police suspected Taslim Alam, 24, was run over by train but the deceased's family claimed the incident as a planned murder.

Taslim's colleagues from the baby garments showroom in Uttara rescued him in a blood-tainted condition from the rail tracks near Uttara rail gate-8 area around 10:00 pm.

The deceased's aunt Rehana Aziz said that Taslim was doing jobs in Uttara for last 7-8 years. He lived in a mess behind Rajlaxmi Complex. Taslim didn't return to his residence after leaving for his workplace Saturday morning.

Rehana filed a GD with Dakshinkhan Police Station the next day. "Police declined to accept the GD Sunday. And didn't take necessary steps," she said.
