A young man was electrocuted in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district on Friday morning.
The victim was identified as Rasel Miah, 23 son of Solaiman Hossain of Kandarpara village in the upazila.
According to police, Rasel came in contact with a live electric connection while switching his irrigation pump after repairing it beside his home. He died on the spot.
