Youth dies in Jibannagar accident

A teenager named Abdur Rahim (14) died due to a puncture in the wheel of a trailer at Damurhuda in Chuadanga. The incident took place at a welding machinery shop in Raghunathpur market of Damurhuda upazila on Wednesday (November 23) around 1 pm. Abdur Rahim is the son of Fakir Uddin of Old Pakhalpur village of the same upazila.

According to local residents, Kishore Abdur Rahim was giving air to the wheels of the trailer. Due to excessive air pressure, the tire punctured and he was seriously injured. Later he was rescued and taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

Shop owner Sirajul Islam said, Abdur Rahim started working in my shop a week ago. I was working inside the store on Wednesday afternoon. Abdur Rahim was blowing the front wheel of a power trailer outside. Meanwhile, when the wheel got punctured due to excessive wind, Abdur Rahim fell and got hit on the head on the tin next to him. Abdur Rahim was seriously injured.

Later we rescued him and took him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

Dr. Chuadanga Sadar Hospital emergency department on duty. Tasnim Afrin Jyoti said, "Ghilu came out of his head." He died before reaching the hospital.

Damurhuda Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ferdous Wahid said, I am not aware of any such incident. A police team is being sent to the spot to search.
