A youth died after being electrocuted in Kodalia area under Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj district on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Hiramon, 23, son of Dulal Mia, a resident of the same area.
According to locals, Hiramon was electrocuted around 8am while attempting to charge a torch light. He accidentally came into contact with a electric wire and being injured.
Later, family members immediately rushed him to Pakundia Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Dr. Noor Alam, family planning officer of the hospital confirmed the incident.
