Dinajpur celebrated National and International Youth Day 2025 on Tuesday under the theme “Technology-driven Youth Power and Progress through Multilateral Partnerships.” The event was organised by the District Administration and the Department of Youth Development.
The day began with the national anthem, followed by the hoisting of the national and divisional flags in the courtyard of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Balloons and festoons were also released to mark the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Md Rafiqul Islam raised the national flag, while Divisional Youth Development Officer Md Rawnakul Islam raised the divisional flag.
A colourful rally, led by the Deputy Commissioner, paraded the main streets of the town.
At 11 AM, an official discussion meeting was held at the conference room of the DC office. DC Md Rafiqul Islam was the chief guest, with Additional Deputy Commissioners Md Riaz Uddin and SM Habibul Hasan present as special guests. Youth leaders, political and social representatives also spoke at the event.
Two successful self-employed youths and organisers were honoured with crests and certificates. Youth loans were also distributed to five individuals. A tree planting programme was held in the afternoon. The event concluded with a pledge led by Md Riaz Uddin, Deputy Director of Local Government
