A young man named Md Arif (26) has been arrested by the police in Chattogram's Banshkhali for insulting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family on Facebook.
He was arrested from Sheikherkhil area of the upazila on Sunday night.
Arrested Arif is the son of Abul Hossain of Sheikherkhil ward.
It is known that Arif had been recording videos on the social media Facebook making various taunts and indecent comments about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehena. After this video spread on social media, Ariful Islam was arrested by Banshkhali Police Station on Sunday night.
Banshkhali police station officer-in-charge OC Md. Kamal Uddin said that a young man has been detained for insulting the honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family. Legal action is being taken after investigation
