A juvenile girl was gang raped as she went to Dhaka from Tongi to act in Tiktok video. Police arrested two adolescent-youths in connection with the rape of the girl.
Confirming the incident, Aminul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Tongi East Police station informed on Saturday (26 December), the victim has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. She is a student of class VII of Republican Kindergarten School in Tongi. She used to make video for Tiktok.
Two arrested youths have been identified as Shishir Bepari (17) son of Mofazzal Bepari of Sarat Chandra Road area of Gendaria police station and Junayed Islam Fahim(17) son of Anowar Hossain of the same area.
Officer-in-charge further informed, the victim established communication with several juveniles of the country through facebook in connection with making Tiktok video. Later, she opened Messenger group and proposed her friends to prepare Tiktok video and came out of her Dattapara house of December-23 by telling her parents that she was going to the house of her maternal grand father. But, she met with her friends who took her to a house of Gandaria by offering her to make video for Tiktok. Her friends raped her in that house.
Police sources informed, getting no trace of the girl, her mother filed a General Diary with Tongi east police station on December-24. Later, police conducted raid in various places and using the modern technology rescued the girl from Madhubagh area of Hatirjheel on Friday evening.
Based on the information of the victim, police arrested two youths from Sarat Chandra road area of Narinda, Gandaria. Police were trying to arrest other accused of the case.
