Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a man named Md. Sentu, 22, along with 26,000 pieces of yaba in a raid in Natunbridge area under Bakalia police station.
He was detained on Saturday morning. The detainee was identified as Md Sentu, son of Sohrab Hossain of Deopur area under Karimganj police station in Kishoreganj district.
RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) Md. Mahmudul Hasan Mamun said a man named Mohammad Sentu was detained along with 26,000 pieces of yaba in the Natunbridge area under Bakalia police station. A pickup truck used to transport yaba has been seized.
RAB-7 Hathazari Camp Commander Major Md. Mushfiqur Rahman said, "We had information that Yaba was coming from Cox's Bazar in a pickup truck." Pickup and driver Sentu were detained at a check post in the Newbridge area. The yaba was later recovered from a car exhaust pipe, according to Sentu.
Major Md. Mushfiqur Rahman said that the yaba was left in the pipe and welded with another partition so that it could not be understood in any way. The yaba was being taken to Feni from Cox's Bazar.
