Engineer Md Shafique Uddin, managing director of state-owned West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (WZPDCL), said the power crises have been solved through the efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At present 97 percent peoples are getting electricity facility.

He said this while distributing latest model laptops among the officials at Bidyut Bhaban of Boyra in Khulna district on Monday morning.
The laptops were distributed to maintain social distance and hygiene rules in order to speed up official work, including increasing the quality of customer service during the Corona pendemic. WZPDCL Assistant Manager (Public Relations) Mohammad Ali said in a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Shafique Uddin said that Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, the architect of Digital Bangladesh, has gifted Digital Bangladesh. In this Corona epidamic, people are enjoying its full benefits.
Students of educational institutions of the country are continuing their educational activities by participating in online classes. All government, private, autonomous and other organizations are conducting emergency meetings and other official work online with the help of Zoom.

Addressing the officials, he said that WZPDCL has won 2nd place in 2018 and 3rd place in 2019 in the Innovation Shocking Competition. Besides, in the e-document catagorey, WZPDCL has also placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. The laptops that are being distributed today will take the company to the pinnacle of development by making maximum use of technology and provide better services to the customers.
