Poor van driver Abdul Munnaf is at the crossroads of life and death due to wrong treatment of an alleged fake doctor in Santhia, Pabna. Van driver Munnaf's house is in Chondah village of Santhia upazila. The investigation is underway, said Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, a doctor at Santhia Hospital.

According to the victims, Munnaf, a poor van driver in Chondah village of the upazila, went to a so-called doctor named Abdur Rauf in Karamja village of the upazila three years ago for treatment of piles. He treated him through surgery. As Munnaf did not recover, he went to the doctor again before Eid on July 22.

He was operated on again on his advice. As the operation was not correct, there was a lot of bleeding. When his situation detreated, his relatives rushed him to Enayetpur Hospital on Tuesday. There he was given 10/12 tests. Most reports are not good.

Munnaf said, "I am in this condition today due to the wrong treatment of that doctor."

Denying the allegation, doctor Abdur Rauf said that Abdul Munnaf had taken treatment several years ago. Then he got better. He came to me bleeding before Eid and I did not operate on him. “I checked the wound site and just gave an injection and told him to take medicine. Later I found out that he had gone to Enayetpur.”

In this regard, the doctor of Santhia Hospital Abdullah Al Mamun said, there is no rule to operate on any patient without any MBBS doctor and surgical experience. We have informed the administration after receiving the victim's complaint.

The matter is under investigation. Details can be revealed at the end of the investigation.
