World Teachers’ Day was celebrated in Raozan with a colourful rally and discussion meeting, jointly organised by the Upazila Administration and the Directorate of Secondary Education.
The event was held on Sunday in the Upazila Parishad auditorium. The meeting was chaired by Sajal Chandra Chand, Academic Supervisor of the Secondary Education Office. Mohammad Zisan Bin Majed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), attended as the chief guest.
Special guests included Mohammad Nur Nabi, Upazila Primary Education Officer; and Maulana Abu Zafar Siddiqui, President of Bangladesh Jamiyatul Modarresin, Rauzan. The keynote speaker was Mohammad Habib Ullah, Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Teachers’ Association (North Chattogram) and Head Teacher of Noapara High School. Other speakers included Mohammad Jamal Shah, Convener of the Teachers’ Association, Rauzan; Mohammad Nur Nabi, Member Secretary; and Nasrin Akter, Assistant Head Teacher of Mahamuni Anglo Pali High School, who jointly conducted the programme.
Further remarks were delivered by Kanchan Biswas, Head Teacher of Aryamaitri Institute; Principal Maulana Abu Mostak Al-Qaderi; Mohammad Habibul Haque; and Bilash Kanti Dash.
The event began with recitations from the Quran, the Gita, and the Tripitaka. The celebration concluded with a rally through the main roads of the upazila.
