The World Standards Day was observed in Bogura as elsewhere in the country on Monday with the the theme “Video standards create a global stage”.
Marking the day, a colourful procession and discussion was held in the district town, organised by Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI). Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bogura Foyez Ahamed led the colourful procession brought out from the DC office in the morning. Later, the discussion was held at conference room of the DC office.
The discussion was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC- Education and ICT) Ujjal Kumar Ghosh, while it was attended, among others, by Vice President of Chamber of Commerce Mafujul Islam Raj, Assistant Director of BSTI Abdul Awal, Engineer Zunayet Ahammed, Inspector Zulfikar Ali, and Sanitary Inspector of Municipalities Shah Ali.
