The World Mental Health Day-2020 was observed in Jhenaidah on Sunday. District health department organized the day with the slogan “Mental health for all: more investment, more opportunities.”
To mark the day, a colourful rally was brought out from the office of the Civil Surgeon.
The rally ended at the starting point parading the main roads in the town. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Civil Surgeon office.
Civil Surgeon of Jhenaidah Dr. Salina Begum, superintendent of Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital Dr, Harun Or Rashid, medical officer of the office of the civil surgeon Dr. Prasenjit Biswas Partha, senior health education officer Wahiduzzaman among others spoke at the event.
The speakers called upon the people to stand beside the mentally challenged and depressed people as against ignoring them as they are the parts and parcel in our family and society undoubtedly.
