World food day was observed in Jhenaidah aiming at better yield, better nutrition and improved livelihood. Organized by Jhenaidah district administration, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner on Saturday morning.
Additional deputy commissioner (ADC) general Selim Reza, additional deputy director (ADD) of the department of agriculture extension Ali Zinnah, upazila agriculture officer Jahidul Karim, agriculture extension officer Junayeed Habib among others remain present there.

The speakers said there is no alternative than producing of safe and nutritious food for the nation and our better livelihood. Earlier a rally was brought out from Jhenaidah Old Collectorate and ended at the starting point to mark the day.
