On the occasion of World Environment Day, various programs have been carried out on 5th June, Sunday, at the joint initiative of Department of Environment Chandpur and District Administration under the Ministry of Environment.
An interesting procession started at 10 am to raise public awareness in a joint production of Chandpur Environment Department.
Deputy Commissioner of Chandpur Kamrul Hasan led the procession from Chandpur District Administration Office. Apart from this, officials of TIB and Bandhu Foundation NGO of Chandpur and officials and students of Chandpur Clinic and Diagnostic Association also participated.
After that at 10:30 am a discussion meeting of World Environment Day was held in the conference room of Chandpur Deputy Commissioner. Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan was present as the chief guest.
Chandpur Additional Superintendent of Police Ashik Mohiuddin PPM and officials of Chandpur TIB and Bandhu Foundation and officials of Chandpur Clinic and Diagnostic Association were present as special guests.
Deputy Director of the Department of Environment Mosabber Hossain Md. Rajib gave a welcome speech in the discussion. The essay was presented by Dr. Mo Masud Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Environment, Chandpur Government Women's College.
Chandpur TIB Officer Mohammad Masud Rana, President of Chandpur District Clinic and Diagnostic Association Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Dr. Masood and Journalist Mohammad Neyamat Hossain among others spoke.
Additional Deputy Commissioner presided over (overall) said. Nasir Uddin Sarwar. The chief guest distributed prizes among the 9 winners at the end of the ceremony.
