A three –day workshop on supporting human rights defenders working for women’s and girls’ rights in Bangladesh was kicked off at a residential hotel in Jashore on Friday.
Dr Md Mozzamel Hossain Bakul, associate professor, department of mass communication and journalism and Farazi Ahmed Sayed Bulbul, staff correspondent, Daily Ittefaq jointly inaugurated the workshop on Friday noon.
Religious leaders of the Muslim, Hindu, Christian and other communities, journalists and teachers of schools and colleges are taking part the workshop, which is organised by News Network supported by the European Union. The workshop focused on rights and demands of women and girls in Bangladesh.
