An orientation workshop was organised at the Civil Surgeon's Office in Munshiganj on the occasion of implementation of Vitamin A Plus Campaign. Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Dr Manjurul Alam chaired the workshop held on Tuesday at 12 o'clock.
Four-day long National Vitamin A Plus Campaign will be held from December 11 to 14 to eradicate malnutrition blindness and to prevent malnutrition in the country. An orientation workshop was organised in the conference room of Munshiganj Civil Surgeon's Office for the successful implementation of this Campaign. At this time, junior consultant Dr Atiqur Rahman presented a documentary on Vitamin A. It highlights the significant aspects of the diseases that occur in the human body due to lack of vitamin A.
It may be mentioned that in 6 upazilas of Munshiganj, 24,475 children aged between 6-11 months and 169,484 children aged between 12-59 months will be given Vitamin A Plus capsules this year.
