A daylong workshop on National Qualification Framework was held at the Faculty of Business Administration Gallery of Chattogram University (CU) on Tuesday morning.
CU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Yahya Akhtar presided over the workshop. Bangladesh Accreditation Council Chairman Professor Dr Mesbahuddin Ahmed spoke as the chief guest. CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin and CU Faculty of Science Dean Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Amin were present as special guests.
The workshop was moderated by CU IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Moslem Uddin and IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain delivered the welcome speech at the workshop. Bangladesh Accreditation Council Director Mohammad Tajib Uddin gave a presentation at the day-long workshop.
CU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahya Akhtar said that in order to survive in this competitive world and to show their capabilities, we need to create skilled and international-standard manpower. To this end, the current administration of CU is encouraging students to participate in various programs by emphasizing educational support activities along with academic education to transform students into skilled manpower.
He said that by organiSing such international-standard workshops, the activities of enriching the knowledge and research of teachers and students are being continued. Necessary guidelines will be obtained through the discussions and reviews presented in today's workshop.
Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed said that in this era of globalisation, it is necessary to transform the education system to become skilled human resources. It is not possible to produce international-standard researchers through the conventional syllabus-based education system. He emphasized on creative education.
CU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Kamal Uddin said that the knowledge and capabilities of teachers, researchers and students increase through participation in seminars, symposiums, workshops and various training programs. The current administration of Chattogram University is opening the doors of various opportunities by organizing these through IQAC. He urged the teachers to devote themselves to the welfare of the country and the nation.
It is known that that a total of 115 teachers, including deans of various faculties of Chattogram University, department presidents and directors of institutes, members of the departmental self-assessment committee, participated in the workshop.
