Workshop on IPC held in Ramu

A day-long training workshop on infection prevention and control (IPC) was held on Sunday in the conference room of Ramu Upazila Health Complex.

The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Cox's Bazar District IPC Committee Member Secretary and Cox's Bazar Medical College Assistant Professor of Surgery Dr Md Arif Hossain. Ramu Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Nobel Kumar Barua presided over it.

Doctors and nurses took part in the training, organised by Partner in Health and Development (PHD) with financial assistance from the World Bank and in collaboration with the UNICEF.

The main objective of the training is to make health professional aware of infectious diseases, ensure their own and patients’ safety and reduce the rate of infections in hospitals.

Ramu Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer and master trainer Dr Ripon Chowdhury and PHD Senior Training Coordinator Dr Nasreen Akter Rumi were also trainers at the workshop.
