A workshop on Horizontal Learning Program (HLP) institutionalization project was held in Gopalganj on Monday.
The day-long workshop was successfully completed with the participation of officials from all district level departments at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room, organized by the National Institute of Local Government (NILG) in collaboration with Gopalganj district administration and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana was present as the chief guest at the workshop titled “Horizontal Learning Program (HLP)”.
Ariful Islam, Deputy Director of Local Government (DDLG) in Gopalganj was present as the special guest at the workshop.
Deputy Project Director Manika Mitra, Assistant Project Director Md. Imranur Rahman, Gopalganj District Council Chief Executive Officer Abu Yusuf Md Rezaur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Md Abdur Rahman, District LGED Executive Engineer Md. Ehsanul Haque, District Livestock Officer Dr Aziz Al Mamun, Deputy Director of District Family Planning Department Alif Noor, officials of various departments in the district, officials of the project, NGOs and media representatives were present during the event.
The program was chaired by Md Borhan Uddin Bhuiyan, Project Director (Joint-Secretary) of Bangladesh Horizontal Learning Project.
The workshop was followed by a detailed discussion on the objectives, scope of work and detailed activities of the project.
